American Writers Museum Reflection
Today I went to the American Writers Museum for a field trip. Before that, I have never been to any museum in Chicago. In the museum, I saw a lot of interesting things, such as typewriters, game tables, word waterfall and so on. Also, the museum certainly has a variety of exhibitions and one of the most impressive things is the exhibition called A Nation of Writers. This exhibition presents the famous American writers for more than 400 years in the form of a timeline. Surprisingly, the exhibition also allows viewers to experience the history of American writers from an auditory and visual perspective through some electronic screens.
Through this exhibition, which is called A Nation of Writers, I have learned many famous American writers. I read some of their famous slang and their personal information, and I find that every writer has his own unique story.
I must mention that the typewriter is the coolest thing I think of in the entire writers' museum. I only saw typewriters in movies or old TV shows, but this time the real typewriter was in front of me, and I also typed some words through it. I feel the typewriter is very backward (maybe I am used to using the keyboard), but the typewriter is really a very cool thing.
Today's field trip is a very interesting and unforgettable day. Below is a photo of us.
